Jeannette hard at work
Happy hooves, happy pony

Lucky

"I started looking into barefoot trimming to help my Shetland Pony, who had persistent problems with founder and could barely walk. Luckily, I found Jeannette, who has worked wonders for him. After a year under her care, he is almost pain free, and like a new horse! You can just see how much more comfortable he is now. Jeannette is clearly committed to her work and passionate about helping to heal horses."  LL

"My horses have been barefoot for the past few years. It takes time for your horses to adapt to being barefoot but it is worth it. Their feet have never looked so healthy and I can ride them almost anywhere. We do carry front boots with us for very long rides, but rarely use them. We took our horses in the Wyoming range for a camping trip. I rode one and the other we had packs on. We did not use boots and encountered some of the most difficult terrain I’ve ever been on. The horses footing was great. They never slipped nor did they act like they were in pain. I feel that they are not as clumsy when they are barefoot and pay more attention to were they are going."  MW

My geldings feet look great and, I think, feel better with Jeannette's help. In the one and a half years she has trimmed him, Jeannette has taken his feet from weak, thin-soled and flared to strong, healthy hooves. She also has shown incredible patience with his difficult personality. Thanks, Jeannette!  -Mary Gerty
